Bumpy red rash around the eyes?!

I was thinking poison ivy, but I’m sure they’d be itchy with that.

That’s what I was thinking too, but no, no itching.

It’s weird, it varies throughout the day, bright red then it starts to fade, then it’s bright again…??

My daughter reacts to sunscreen and it’s more of a large blotchy rash.

It could be some virus and the rest of the symptoms have already passed or will show up later, like Roseola. Call the doctor tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip—I don’t think it’s Roseola though, no fever and no rash anywhere else (trunk, arms, legs)...

Since we’ve moved here 3 out of our 4 kids seem to always bust out in weird rashes for no reason. I usually chalk them up to viral rashes as they usually have a cold or slight fever, but this time-there’s nothing but the weird bumps on their faces! So far, the boys are the only ones who have it-the girls, dh & I are fine.

We’re actually without a dr currently (dh got a new job and our benefits kick in next week—figures huh?), so I’ll keep an eye on them and if they get worse I’ll take them to an Urgent Care or something.

Has he been swimming? But then I would think it would affect the entire eye (if it was chlorine). Hmm…..

There was an outbreak of Fifth’s Disease recently at DD’s daycare. The rash you’re describing sounds similar to the one Fifth’s Disease produces.
