I think it is a growth spurt too! Here is a little info =) Hope it’s helpful!
When do babies have growth spurts?: Common times for growth spurts are during the first few days at home and around 7-10 days, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 6 months and 9 months (more or less). Babies don’t read calendars, however, so your baby may do things differently.
Growth spurts don’t stop after the first year – most moms notice growth spurts every few months during the toddler years and periodically thereafter on through the teenage years.
How long do growth spurts last?: Growth spurts usually last 2-3 days, but sometimes last a week or so.
What is the best way to handle a growth spurt?: Follow your child’s lead. Baby will automatically get more milk by nursing more frequently, and your milk supply will increase due to the increased nursing. It is not necessary (or advised) to supplement your baby with formula or expressed milk during a growth spurt. Supplementing (and/or scheduling feeds) interferes with the natural supply and demand of milk production and will prevent your body from getting the message to make more milk during the growth spurt.
Some nursing moms feel more hungry or thirsty when baby is going through a growth spurt. Listen to your body—you may need to eat or drink more during the time that baby is nursing more often.**

Must be their age. Drake is doing the same thing. It’s been going on since Friday night. Maybe they all go through a growth spurt around now :)
We’ve found that giving him a bath helps or just going into the bathroom and turning on the water. It calms him down right away. Maybe it’ll work for Hadleigh too.
Hope it gets better soon.

There is typically a growth spurt around one month of age. That’s why she seems to be eating all the time right now. You’ll feel like all you do is nurse for about 3 days.
It’s normal for breastfed babies to begin to skip days with the pooping. They simply don’t have as much waste because they use their food more efficiently. Breastmilk is a natural laxative – if all she is getting nothing but breastmilk then she would not be constipated.

Is she farting? Passing gas means bowels are still working. Is she upset when she has gas- like it seems painful? Zach had painful gas and I had to help him out by bicycling his legs and gently pressing his knees to his chest. It always seemed to bring him a lot of relief when those farts came out!
And ditto the growth spurt- just keep offering the breast and offering and offering. Switch sides and so on. I remember Teagan would nurse right and then left and then right during some of her early growth spurts.

Growth spurt! The answer: Nurse, Nurse, Nurse until your nurnies are ready to fall off! :) That will increase your milk supply to meet her growing body’s needs. :)
Double post (how?) I don’t know why the lines are in the other one!
I second the Happiest Baby on the Block! It is awesome. My advice is not to supplement, b/c your supply will go down. Just nurse her on demand and you will catch up. I remember my dd going through several nursing marathons when she was a newborn. Hang in there, and I’m sure they will have lots of good advice at the support group.

Hadleigh will be 1 month old on Tuesday. For the past 2 days she’s constantly crying and frantic for food. She seems to be eating all the time. She hasn’t pooped in 2 days, and I know that is making her belly hurt. She hasn’t slept all day today, and she has been crying ALL DAY! Is it something I’ve eaten that has made her not able to poop? I feel so bad for her, and the crying has got me at my wits end. Any advice??
