Crawling

He started sort of crawling on June 20th of this year (so about 5 and half months). He was full blown crawling on his 1/2 birthday.

He’s pulling himself up now on everything. He’s growing up TOO fast!

My first crawled at maybe 8-10 months but did not walk till 16 months. My second did some odd crawling at 5mo. but was doing a traditional crawl by 6. She’s 8 mo. now and trying to stand on her own and take steps. However, she doesn’t make many sounds and still gags whenever we feed her food.

Crawling is not really considered a milestone like sitting or standing. Some kids do it, some don’t, and they each have their own technique.

DS started crawling the traditional way at 7 months and he did a funny inch worm crawl about 2 to 3 weeks before that.

I’m in a playgroup w/ 7 mommies and all of our kids have hit the crawling milestone at different times, and some arent crawling at all yet.

I think anything goes. I was so worried that my dd wasn’t crawling at around 9 or 10 months. I mean I was WORRIED!

But then she started crawling one day, and walked a few weeks later. And now she is totally on target in every other area!
