Ummmm eww! I wouldn’t have gone to the party anyway. If she didn’t tell you beforehand that they have a flea problem, she was in the wrong. Gross!

"RE: Am I wrong? (long) That is disgusting. If your DD is getting bites just from being there for one day, imagine..."
My DS spent the night at someones house, and came home the same way. The family knew that they had fleas, but didn’t realize they were that bad, because they weren’t being bitten. Fleas do not bite everyone. In the case of my DS, only two of the four boys who didn’t live there were bitten, no one else, and they all slept in the same place. So, maybe she didn’t realize they were that bad. I would have been mad too (and I was), but they apologized and I am sure they were embarrassed like your friend probably is.
I am learning to listen to my heart and his, and to let the Lord guide us.
Very interesting! I thought fleas went after blood, no matter what.
And I’m sure they are embarrassed, but what now?

Last Friday night a friend of mine kept DD overnight. I picked her up Saturday on my way in to the office. While we were at my office, she kept digging at her head. I called her over to my desk so I could look. What do I find? FLEAS! IN HER HAIR! So, I pick them out and squish them.
As soon as we got home, I threw her in the tub and soaked her in flea and tick shampoo. A few more came out in the water. Then I started really looking at her, and she had been eaten alive! Her chest and back were covered, and there were bites up in her hairline and all around her ears.
So, I went to Kroger and got Benadryl and calomine and covered her in it. Saturday was a rough night, because she kept wanting to itch, so neither of us got much sleep.
I text my friend and told her, and she was apologetic. She has a dog and 2 cats, but can’t seem to get rid of the fleas. I told her I’ve had dogs for 4 years now, and knock on wood, haven’t had any. I grew up with dogs too, and I remember 2 instances where we would see a flea and immediatley treat, so it never got out of hand.
Anyway, so then Sunday, she was having a party for her DH, and after not sleeping much and still being pissed off, we didn’t go. We stayed home and I kept medicating DD, and did homework.
Now here we are, almost a week later, and SHE refuses to talk to ME! Am I wrong for being mad that my DD was INFESTED with FLEAS?!
