I found Macaroni Grill Chicken Alfredo in a box. It’s the noodles and the mix . . . you add your own chicken! Doesn’t it sound yummy?
I’ll add a salad and some garlic bread and PRESTO! A delicious meal that I didn’t bring home in a sack or styrofoam containers!
Mom to Jack and Daniel . . . future NFL MVPs!
We are having Panini’s!!! I just learned how to make them and I can’t wait! Yummy! We are eating late though. DS is at swim lessons as I type this and dd and I are meeting him and dh at his baseball game at 6:30. So chicken nuggets for the kids before the game, but panini’s for us when we get home.
I will never have the courage to grill a whole chicken so good job Michelle :). I’m having chicken breast with mushrooms and sour cream :).

Unfortunately, we are not eating together tonight. It is something we try to do, but things happen. So, for DD it is pizza at Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party. DS and I will pick something up while she is at the party and I guess that leaves DH on his own after he gets home from work. Hopefully we will eat together tomorrow.
However, that Alfredo from Macaroni Grill sounds yummy. Where did you find that?

We were not able to drop our school supplies at the southside location when it occurred. I will PM you for an alternative way to drop.
Dinner….hmmmm. Ground beef….I might try the porcupine balls everyone is making these days. Haven’t given dinner much thought today other than thawing out meat.

Ahhhh, the pain of log in trouble! The agony of no response from the tech team! Yet here I am – at a very random moment, I was able to log in. sigh – the good life!
Before we talk about food I need to ask for your help in a couple of matters near & dear to me. Almost all of us are familiar with Renee, Mommy of four girls & the fact that she’s an advocate against domestic abuse. She works to rescue families from their abusers. Currently, there is a huge need to prepare these kids at the shelters for school. Last year at this time, I believe she said they had about 7 school agers. This year…35. There is a school supply drive being coordinated by FeedIndy. I know it’s difficult for many of us these days and we do what we can. So as you prepare your own kids for school this year, please check the list & see if there is something that you can contribute to get these youngins to school with all their needs met.
Speaking of needs met – there is also a glimmer of hope that each of these 35 children will get sponsored by an IndyMom & her family, and have a brand new outfit for the first day of school :) They’ve all left so much behind, often leaving with little more than the clothes on their backs. It would put a smile on each & every face to see a new outfit just for them :)
If you are in a position to help in either of these drives, please let me know. I can hook you up with sizes & all that. We’ve only got a week before we need to start assembling individual back packs & distributing.
Sooo, what’s for dinner tonight? You won’t believe this. I’m going to grill a whole chicken, oh yes I am. We’ve only done it once before & it looks simple enough. Best of all, Marsh had whole chickens on sale last week (or maybe it was the week before) for 68 cents a pound! So I’m planning on grilled chicken, rice & something of the green variety – probably peas. But maybe yellow, and then it’ll be corn :)
What’s on at your house tonight?
